Winter, Spring and Summer – Ages 3 +

Join us for some serious creativity! Students will be able to work on many wonderful projects this Spring and Summer! As always we divide groups up by age. Please make sure to pack a nut-free snack. Select your days, weeks or come for the duration of camp!

6/16 – 6/20 – Art Around the World

Learn about the art of cultures. Artists will use a variety of materials to create original art that reflect work from Africa, Asia, Europe and the Americas.

6/23 – 6/27 – Mythical Creatures -FULL

We’ll help you develop its character traits: Does it have scales, wings, fur? Is it sweet or does it blow fire? We’ll use storytelling fundamentals to capture the character traits, then use various art materials to make it come to life. (A full week is suggested for this theme).

6/30 – 7/3 – Say Yes to Mess!

No class July 4th – $39 per day

Enjoy the mess at our studio instead of at home…where you can’t make one! Experiment with tons of different materials and learn about different artists and art movements as you tinker along.

7/7 – 7/11 – Super Hero’s

Passionate about hero’s and their super powers? The world needs new superheroes, and we need you to create them. Design your costume then be prepared to act out your character! We’ll have obstacle courses set up for you to test out your skill.

7/14 – 7/18 – Drawing and Cartooning

Come explore the world of cartooning! Do you have a favorite TV or comic book friend? What about an animals you adore? You’ll get to develop your own individual characters and learn the basics of drawing and cartooning while your at it.

7/21 – 7/25 – The Art of Science – FULL

We’ll expose you to many fun experiments including making your own chalk to inventing something functional. The possibilities are endless.

7/28 – 8/1 – A Tribute to the Masters

From Pop Art to Renaissance we’ll travel with our paintbrush in hand and our minds in the sky. You’ll recreate mater pieces based on various artists in one week full of fun. Clay and sculpture will also be incorporated this week.

8/4 – 8/8 – Let’s Get Crafty! – FULL

Let’s face it, we like to craft. So lets dive into creation. From weaving and jewelry making, to decorations for your room. Artists will leave each day with something unique and handmade.

8/11 – 8/15 – Beautiful Stuff!

Inspired by the book, Beautiful Stuff written by Cathy Weisman Topal and Lella Gandini, this class encourages artists to use and experiment with found objects. We’ll supply you with a plethora of recycled items, not just cardboard. Feel free to come to class with a bag of “beautiful stuff” yourself! Some ideas: random toys, marker caps, lids, fabric, bubble wrap, egg cartons, old books, magazines, you get the picture.

Afternoons 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm – Ages 7+

6/16 -6/20 – Photography – FULL

Students will learn basic photography and camera techniques. Each day we’ll focus on a subject and and style enabling each student to see with a different view. Any level is welcome. Students must provide their own point and shoot camera. The final class will consist of a collage of “great shots” selected by each student. Parents are welcome.

6/23 -6/27 – Theater Mania

We know that children who participate in theater have greater self-confidence, improved literacy and math skills, and greater problem solving skills. This class is designed to help each child cultivate their talent and potential through fun activities and theater games.

7/7 – 7/11 – Sewing

Design and sew your very own just-for-you bag! We’ll be hand-sewing small shoulder bags with a handy drawstring opening — perfect for carrying around a favorite stuffed animal, treasured collection, or a water bottle and snack. Students will learn to sew both a running stitch and whip stitch, and how to make a casing for the drawstring. If time allows, students will also have the opportunity to uniquely embellish their bag with ribbon, felt scraps, buttons, or decorative stitching. Taught by Amy Struckmeyer owner of form*work.

7/14 -7/18 – Paper Making – FULL

Master the art of paper making. Pulp, marbling, fibers and paint! This class is known to be addicting, good thing you’ll have 5 days to make as much paper as you can dream of! Use as cards, finished art, gifts and more.

Cost: $145

7/21 – 7/25 – Improvisation

Experience improvisational games and exercises that enhance a student’s ability to communicate with others, develop confidence in their own creativity teach respect for ideas of others. Taught by Michele DiMaso.

Cost: $145

7/28 -8/1 – Drawing

Students will develop new skills and talents while designing unique drawings using a variety of illustration tools. Each lesson focuses on developing skills, learning techniques and expanding knowledge. The methods and styles of contemporary and master artists specializing in paint, sculpture and design are incorporated into each class.

Cost: $150 includes material fees

8/4 – 8/8 – Polymer Clay Projects

Polymer is a type of modeling clay that can be sculpted and baked for a beautiful finish. You’ll have a week to create various items such as pendants, beads, creatures and more.

Cost: $160 includes materials

8/11 – 8/15 – Stage Combat

Ever wondered how actors fight onstage without hurting each other? Our Stage Combat class will provide students with a core vocabulary of unarmed stage combat training including punches, kicks, falls, and rolls. Focus will be placed on performing the fights realistically and safely. Taught by Michele DiMaso.
